On July 3 in Berlin at Erika Hess Eisstadion, a premiere showcase of the new Lesia Semi SS 2018 collection took place within the framework of the Fashion Hall Berlin project at Berlin Fashion Week. In August the collection was demonstrated as part of the Eurasia Fashion Week in Urumqi (China), which the designer Lesia Semi visited at the invitation of fashion week organizers. On September 24 during the Milan Fashion Week, Lesia Semi collection was presented within the Mad Mood Milano project. On October 27 the premiere of the collection was held at Lviv Fashion Week in Ukraine, and the show took place at Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport.
In November Lesia Semi received an invitation to present a collection within Asia Fashion Week Europe, which is held in the Netherlands and specializes in designers, whose works possess Asian influences and inspirations. The venue of the show was the Church of St. Eusebius in Arnhem, which dates back to the fifteenth century.
The inspiration of the collection is the idea of a spiral in nature – in plants (flowers, spiral arrangement of needles on cones), organisms (snail) and structures – from web and fingerprints to galaxies. In the collection the interpretation of the spiral is used in blouses, dresses and tunics, with spiral-shaped pleated ruches.
